The Reading Hangover

The Reading Hangover is The Ink House's monthly reading and social experience designed to encourage reading, meaningful interaction and offline community.

Unlike a conventional book club, The Reading Hangover combines silent reading with curated conversations, networking activities, creative breaks and interactive experiences.

A reading hangover isn't just about finishing a book. It's that state you get into when you've been so deep in a story that coming back to reality feels like a disruption. You're still halfway in the world of your book even when you look up.

That's what we're creating at this event — two hours where you get so lost in your pages, so disconnected from your phone and your notifications and the noise, that by the time you leave you're still carrying the story with you…

A little hazy. A little full. That's the hangover. And honestly? It's the best kind.

In one sentence? It's that feeling when you've been so deep in a book that real life feels like the interruption. We're making space for that feeling — intentionally.

The Ink House is a growing community of young writers and creatives committed to helping members become more confident, expressive and intentional about their craft. Founded on the belief that writers grow best in community, The Ink House provides a structured environment where members can write, publish, receive peer feedback, learn, experiment and build consistency around their creative practice. Through weekly writing activities, accountability structures, learning sessions, community discussions, publishing opportunities and physical gatherings, The Ink House creates opportunities for young creatives to develop their voices while connecting with others who share similar interests. Our goal is simple: to help young writers write more, share more and grow more.
